Altair Media is committed to transparency regarding the financial support that enables its research, editorial work and public engagement.
Financial support allows the platform to publish independent analysis, organise dialogues and contribute to informed debate on technological, economic and societal change in Europe. At the same time, all funding must respect Altair Media’s Research Independence Charter.
No financial contributor may influence research priorities, editorial conclusions or the framing of publications.
Transparency about funding sources and governance safeguards helps ensure that readers, partners and institutions can evaluate the integrity of our work.

Categories of Support
Altair Media may receive support from several types of organisations that share a commitment to responsible innovation, transparent governance and independent research.
Public Funding
Grants and programme support from public institutions, including European and national research initiatives.
Examples may include programmes such as
Creative Europe or Horizon Europe.
Foundations and Non-Profit Organisations
Philanthropic organisations supporting research, public dialogue and responsible technological development.
Corporate Support (Limited and Controlled)
Support from organisations operating in areas related to technology, infrastructure or innovation. Such support is strictly reviewed to ensure alignment with Altair Media’s independence and ethics framework.
Corporate support does not grant editorial influence, preferential coverage or endorsement.
Ineligible Funding Sources
Altair Media does not accept financial support from:
- political parties or political campaigns
- lobbying organisations seeking policy advocacy
- entities requiring influence over research outcomes
- opaque intermediaries or undisclosed funding structures
Transparency Reporting
Altair Media publishes periodic transparency updates outlining:
